Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal Injuries
Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal injuries developed by Gregory H. Doerr, DC, CCSP. Dr. Doerr has been certified in kinesiotaping, spider tech, SPRT, and has developed many of his own signature taping styles. He has over 13 years of clinical taping experience.
Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal Injuries is a 12 hour hands on course designed to demonstrate several different taping techniques to be used on number of musculoskeletal injuries of the spine, upper extremity, and lower extremity.
Taping techniques to be demonstrated include Tim Brown’s Specific Proprioceptive Response Taping, Kinesiotaping, Spider Tech pre-cuts, and neuroproprioceptive techniques. Injuries to be treated with these taping procedures include disc herniations, postural disorders, tendinopathy of upper and lower extremity, ligament sprains of the upper and lower extremity, edema reduction, and joint laxities.
Evaluation techniques will be demonstrated to ensure the taping techniques will be effective and allow those attending to demonstrate proper documentation on the medical necessity of taping for 3rd party payers.
All procedures will be applicable to the athlete, geriatric and general patient population with proper coding according to the ACA discussed, as well as the newest research and physiology on taping procedures.
Certificates of attendance and CD’s of the entire taping presentation will be given to all those attending the class.
Each attendee will have the opportunity to use kinesiology tape, coverall, leukotape, and spider tech pre-cuts and will feel comfortable using these tapes in their office on Monday morning.
